Artist's Comments

It does seem a world of distance away. It looked so alien i had to post it.
This is a tree ( one of about seven) that live close to Lisbon's zoo. Look at all those sharp points!:omg:All made of real hard wood:O

I know photography is not my strong point but...hope you enjoy:)

Really? That's from where they're from? I had no idea! So...i guess they are portuguese after all...that is , if they come from Madeira....cool:)
...huum...so I guess that why i liked it right away...it is a "dragon tree"!I love dragons:P
:iconwholba:
i think so.
its centuries (three) in the past, that i visited both madeira and the canary islands. in the deeps of my brain there is the picture of a 'dragon tree' seen either on this or the other place. but. i´m not sure. so be aware, that it is possible that my botanic presumption is false.
:p

Hmm .. i thought about it differently before reading discription, i thought reaching the other side of the picture (in the back, were the flowers & blue sky) is difficult becoz of the sharp points ;) so to reaach the flowerish side we have to cross all those spikes ...
all i can say is that the shot is so "different" .... Keep up the good work my friend :D
